WASTE MANAGEMENT

The waste generated by industries, businesses and people is accumulated in deposits that damage the environment. The collection and reuse of metal waste helps reduce large amounts of waste that by not being reused would take over 500 years to decay.

In TST Nikkei Metals we use as raw material aluminum waste (scrap) which submit to a recycling process for better utilization of resources. Recycling aluminum has multiple environmental benefits: Conservation of natural resources:

  • The primary aluminum production uses various natural elements: bauxite, coal, natural gas, crude oil, among others. For every ton of aluminum thrown away must be extracted four tons of bauxite. We recycle aluminum to contribute to the conservation of this and all other elements when they are not need again for their production.
    Reduced soil and water pollution: The production process for transformation of virgin metal elements consume large amounts of energy and generate waste that pollute soil and water, same are completely avoided by recycling aluminum.
  • Energy saving: It saves about 95% energy to produce recycled aluminum compared to that used during the production of primary aluminum.
  • Reduction in CO2 emissions: The recycling process produces only 5% of carbon dioxide compared to that generated during the production of primary aluminum, this percentage will also sum saving emissions during the extraction cycle and transportation to the production plant.

Recycling is one of the most important processes to help care for the planet.
